Nebula Mining Corp.
Welcome to Nebula Mining Corp.
Your goal in this game is to collect asteroids and scrap to turn them into resources which you can sell for money.
You can use this money to upgrade your ship and make you more effective at snatching those precious space rocks.
But be careful! You have a limited amount of energy and when it runs out, you will lose and die in the cold and merciless void of space…
To prevent this rather unpleasent outcome you can buy some batteries. Those will come in very handy, trust me.
Controls:
To use your ships claws press leftclick on any ateroid in range.
You can zoom in and out by using the mousewheel. Rightclick lets drag the camera around to change your point of view.
To upgrade your ships modules just click on them.
You can sell your resources by using the shop interface. To use a battery click the use button.

Game starts super zoomed in so you don't even see part of your ship. Why?
RNG ruins this game, not enough asteroids spawn
You can't form a strategy because you don't know what the upgrades do. Thought I need to upgrade the power thingie so I don't use up so much power. Nope. You HAVE to buy batteries. But you can never judge whether you will have enough money for batteries, because the Asteroids are RNG, and the price for batteries slowly, constantly rises, which the game also does not tell you.
Graphics and sound is good, concept is cool, but please fix the RNG. 5/10
Need some explanation for what upgrading each part does
Hi!
I recorded myself playing your game: https://youtu.be/xKHJXVv0ClM
Sorry if I made too many jokes during the process. My friend was watching the stream and his comments were hilarious. :D
Some random thoughts about this game:
The art style is great. The graphics of this game are 10/10 for a jam entry.
It’s cool that you went the extra mile and added a settings screen. A volume settings option is good, especially when recording a video. Although I would like to have sfx/music as separate options.
The beginning is quite hard, but then it becomes somewhat easy. The game needs difficulty progression. Otherwise, it feels repetitive after a few minutes: nothing new really happens.
The font is hard to read. It looks like the game resolution allows you to have more pixels per letter. Please don’t ignore the comments since many people already pointed out that the font is quite… exquisite.
The music tracks feel too short. At least that’s my impression.
This game feels like a “clicker” genre. I might be wrong here. :D At least with my lack of understanding of how to make resource selling faster. I had to keep the shop window open all the time and constantly sell the resources manually, 1-by-1.
cant use the baterys
I liked the feel of the grabbers
Nice idea but unplayable for now. Should think about automatic catcher (upgradable) - so it will become true idle game.
i have no idea what im doing
Shows alot of promise, to hard in the beginning with no instructions, wish upgrading was easier
I strongly dislike the font.
The beginning is too hard in terms of resources, but after a few upgrades it's too easy. Making the beginning more forgiving and adding challenges to the end would be cool.
The upgrades are doing something, but I don't know what anything does besides claws. Some hover text that explains the function would be helpful.
This game is pretty much unplayable right now. After you collect the first batch of rocks, you have barely enough to upgrade one function...then rocks stop showing up in any significant number. Then you eventually die.
Some serious fixes are needed for this to be a game in the traditional sense.
Seems that every time I collect asteroids or whatever, I sell them and max out at 3 money, which cannot buy anything, then the power goes out.
The font that you used is hard to read.
